Kelly Jo Sandri, M.D. (She/Her)

Assistant Professor / Chair, UHLMC Ethics Committee

Biography

In 2023, Dr. Sandri was appointed as Core Faculty. Dr. Sandri also serves as the Chair, for University Health Lakewood Medical Center Ethics Committee.

Upon graduation in 2014, inspired by those who had trained and mentored her, she chose to stay at University Health Lakewood Medical Center. Dr. Sandri joined the faculty in the Maternal Care Section of Family Medicine, where she now enjoys practicing family medicine and teaching both medical students and residents, with an emphasis on obstetrics, women’s health, and pediatrics. The most satisfying aspects of her job are teaching others to be passionate about and advocate for continuity of care in pregnancy, dyad care (taking care of both mom and baby postpartum) and helping birthing persons realize a safe, happy delivery after watching their pregnancy grow from the first appointment.

Dr. Sandri grew up on a small farm north of Kansas City. Her passions outside of medicine include sewing both clothes and quilts, reading, and raising 2 rambunctious kids with her best friend and partner.
