Biography

 In 2017, Dr. Slack joined the Department of Community and Family Medicine as a primary care physician. Now, Dr. Slack works in our Department as Laborist and Hospitalist. She is active in the Family Medicine Clerkship and enjoys teaching and mentoring residents and fellows. She works at an outside rural critical access hospital as the Hospitalist Director. Dr. Slack served on the UMKC School of Medicine Council on Diversity from 2020-2021.

Dr. Slack practices the full scope of Family Medicine, including surgical obstetrics and inpatient medicine. She has special interest in maternal care, family planning, women’s health, breastfeeding medicine and addiction medicine in addition to full scope outpatient family medicine.

Dr. Slack enjoys spending quality time with her two sons and husband and traveling.
