Biography
In 1997, Dr. Steffen joined University Health and serves as Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. In addition to primary pediatric care and resident education, Dr. Steffen has been a long-term member of the Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee. Dr. Steffen was also the physician lead on the successful breastfeeding friendly initiative.
Dr. Steffen’s practice interests include newborn care, behavioral health, care of the Hispanic and immigrant community and healthy and safe sleep and sleep hygiene.
My passion outside of medicine includes care of my family and advocacy for creating a safe world for children and families with equality of opportunities, personal freedom and liberty.
