Biography

In 2022, Dr. Wilson was appointed program director of the Family Medicine Residency at University Health Lakewood Medical Center.

Prior to joining UMKC, Dr. Wilson served as faculty practicing full-spectrum family medicine with obstetrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests include dermatology, women’s health, and evidence-based medicine, the latter of which he taught during the preclinical years at Brody School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson also feels honored to serve on the American Board of Family Medicine National Journal Club Committee.

Dr. Wilson is married to Bridgid Wilson, MD, PhD, who is also a Family Physician and together they have 3 young children. Outside of medicine, Lane and Bridgid enjoy exploring new activities with their kids and seeing things through their eyes. They can frequently be seen in the stands cheering at Sporting KC and KC Current games.
