Biography

In August 2025, Dr. Jana Zaudke joined University Health Lakewood Medical Center as a Primary Care physician. Dr. Zaudke completed her medical degree and residency at the University of Kansas, staying on as faculty with a particular interest in medical education and research.  At KU, she acted as Assistant Clerkship Director for the Family Medicine clerkship and as an Assistant Dean for Student Affairs within the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  In 2016, she left academia to serve in safety net environments within Wyandotte county, first as Chief Medical Officer for Duchesne Clinic and more recently as Medical Director for the department of Family Medicine at Vibrant Health.  Here she serves as faculty for the UHTMC Medical Pavilion and UHLMC Bess Truman Family Medicine Clinic. Dr. Zaudke also serves as Core Faculty, for our Family Medicine Residency.

Dr. Zaudke is passionate about patient care. She loves clinical medicine because it is an applied science. Medicine happens in the context of the human story and as a physician, we get to be part of that story.

Dr. Zaudke loves to be at home where she enjoys gardening, reading and daydreaming. She also enjoys traveling and trying to plan an adventure at least once a year.
