Biography
Dr. Christian was born and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri. He attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of Missouri- Columbia. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at The University of Chicago in 2010 and served as chief resident. After residency, he pursued a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at The Toxikon Consortium (Cook County Hospital, University of Illinois at Chicago, & Illinois Poison Center). During his fellowship, he also served as a clinical instructor of emergency medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.After finishing fellowship training, he joined the faculty at Truman Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital as an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology in 2012. Dr. Christian works clinically as an emergency physician at both institutions, and performs medical toxicology consultations at Children’s Mercy Hospital. He also serves as a consultant for the University of Kansas Hospital Poison Control Center. Dr. Christian is married to his wife, Danelle, and they have two sons named Brock and Grant and a daughter named Harper.Education and Training
