Biography

Dr Hackman was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. He received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at UMKC/University Health before joining the faculty at University Health. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and clinical informatics.

From 2004-2006 he served as the Associate Residency Program Director. He then served as the Clinical Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine for several years. Dr Hackman has been the Chief Medical Information Officer for University Health since 2009. He has also served as the Medical Director for Quality since 2015.
