Biography

Laurie is from St. Joseph, Missouri and completed her Bachelor of Health Science Respiratory Care at the University of Missouri–Columbia where she worked at the University Hospital and Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine for 13 years as a respiratory therapist and later a research coordinator. She currently resides in the Kansas City area. Laurie started at Truman Medical Center in February 2010. She brings over 30 years of research experience to the department and previously worked in a neurology private practice as a research coordinator and at a KU Medical Center Research Institute as a Deputy Director of Research for 12 years.
