Biography
Dr. Stubbs was born and raised in Wichita, KS. She attended Kansas State University and received a B.S. in Nutrition. She then attended University of Kansas School of Medicine, but continues to be an avid KSU fan. She completed her EM residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City where she was also a chief resident. Upon completion of her residency, she stayed on at UMKC as EM faculty. She was the Associate Program Director from 2009-2014 and then became Program Director in July of 2014. Dr. Stubbs areas of interest include residency education, wellness, and infectious disease. Her professional memberships include Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors (CORD). Her husband, Jason, is a nephrologist at the University of Kansas Medical Center. They have two daughters, Scarlett (8 yrs) and Vivian (6 yrs). In her spare time Dr. Stubbs enjoys live music, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys working out and staying active when she has the time.
