Biography
Dr. Srikala Subramanian was born and raised in Southwest Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri Kansas City B.A./M.D. 6 year medical program from 1995-2002. She then completed her EM residency at the UofL in Louisville, KY. During her last year of residency she was also a chief resident. In 2005 she became an assistant professor and clinical faculty at UMKC/Truman Medical Center. She was the associate residency program director from 2006 to 2009 and the medical director for the SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) program from 2009-2019. However her area of interest currently has been to focus on physician wellness. In 2019 she became an Ombudsmen for the graduate medical education office. She became the wellness chair for the department of emergency medicine in 2018 and in the spring of 2020 was appointed as TMC wellness chair.
In her spare time Dr. Subramanian enjoys being with her family, including her husband and three kids. She also enjoys traveling, cooking and spending quality time with friends.
