Biography

Amber joined UMKC in 2013 and has since served the University of Missouri System in a variety of capacities. Her career has progressed from providing administrative support in the School of Dentistry and the School of Nursing and Health Studies to serving as a Student Support Specialist, and she now holds the position of Program Project Support Coordinator in the School of Medicine.

She was drawn to higher education by a strong desire to support students in achieving their academic and professional goals. Early in her career, she witnessed the meaningful impact that dedicated guidance and effective administrative support can have on student success. This experience inspired her to pursue a path in student services and academic administration, where she continues to contribute to creating an environment that empowers students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Outside of her role at UMKC, Amber enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children.
