Biography

Phillip Byrne, Ed.D. is a ten-year professional in graduate medical education. He received a doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Education and Human Development in Educational Leadership, an Educational Specialist and master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Education, and finally an undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in Social Sciences. Dr. Byrne is currently the Associate Dean, Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official for UMKC School of Medicine with direct oversight and accountability for the 35 ACGME programs. He continues to serve as the UMKC School of Medicine Program Director for the Health Professions Education program and facilitates lectures for several core courses.
