Biography

Sara joined the UMKC Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant (PA) Program as an adjunct faculty member in August of 2018 before transitioning to a full time position in January of 2019. She is the Director of Didactic Education. She strives to educate in a way that is encouraging, yet efficient and to the highest of standards. Her goal is to continue to grow as an educator and leader in healthcare education. She educates with the goal of developing high quality PAs who provide excellent patient centered healthcare within their communities. She is invested in the PA profession and hopes to bring awareness within the Kansas City and surrounding communities about what PAs can do for the healthcare team to provide for all patients, particularly the underserved. Prior to joining the UMKC PA program as faculty she practiced in the areas of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and Pediatrics. She continues to have an interest in these areas, but has expanded her interests to include innovative curriculum development and educational research.
