Biography
Maggie received her undergraduate degree in Biology from UMKC in 2011 and went on to earn a Masters of Science in Anesthesia from UMKC School of Medicine in 2014. Upon graduation, she began working as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City. She continues to work there and has served as a preceptor for UMKC AA students since 2015. Maggie joined the UMKC School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the UMKC MSA Program in October 2022. She leads the clinical and professionalism content of the curriculum and is faculty advisor for the AA Student Organization. She is a passionate advocate for the AA profession. She has provided sustained leadership through local, regional, and national service. She holds multiple leadership positions, which serve the Missouri Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants, the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants, and is a member of multiple Physician Anesthesiologist organizations. She enjoys reading, home organization, and spending time with friends and family. She lives with her husband and daughter in Shawnee, Kansas.
