Biography

David joined the UMKC PA Program in the fall of 2021 as a faculty intern before transitioning to a full-time position in 2022. David is a retired Army officer having served 21 years on active duty before joining the program. Early in his military career, David served as a military intelligence technician and instructor before attending PA school. David attended the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2010 completing didactic training at Joint Base San Antonio and clinical rotations at Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas. He graduated IPAP and received his MPAS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012. Thereafter, he deployed as an aeromedical physician assistant to both Iraq and Afghanistan before his final assignment in military corrections at Fort Leavenworth, KS. His clinical areas of interest include occupational health, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal injuries.

David is originally from Wyandotte County, KS born and raised in KCK. He enjoys listening to music, playing golf, and spending time with his two children DJ, and Gabrielle.
