Biography

Dr. Gause is a physician executive leader and practicing orthopaedic surgeon who creates, delivers, and manages successful ideas and programs that support the transition to value-based care to achieve the Quadruple Aim and facilitate healthcare organization financial sustainability. After completing his orthopedic training, Dr. Gause spent 9 years in the C-suite at Great River Health, in Burlington, IA; serving in a variety of roles such as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Medical Director of the Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation department and the Chief Physician Executive (CMO).

He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at both the University of Missouri (Columbia) and at UMKC – Department of Orthopaedics, further pursuing his passions which include promoting diversity in medicine/orthopaedics and EMR implementation/optimizations.
