Biography
Dr. Moorthy is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist, working at the Center for Behavioral Medicine as the Residency Program Director and Assistant Medical Director. Dr. Moorthy completed residency from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Additionally, she earned a Masters in Health Professions Education from UMKC. Dr. Moorthy has worked in both inpatient and outpatient setting treating a wide variety of psychiatric illness. She was a preceptor for Physician Assistant students and Docent for Year I B.A./M.D. students. She has mentored several residents in training and medical students, and won the teacher of the year award. Her interest areas include Medical Education, Curriculum development, Community psychiatry, treatment resistant depression, geriatric psychiatry and woman’s mental health.
