Evaluation and Computer Resources (ECR)
Division Overview
Evaluation and Computer Resources, a division of the Office of Educational Resources, provides the School of Medicine with computer and software assistance, website assistance and maintenance, testing services, database assistance, audio/video streaming services, digital signage services, UMKC Active Directory/Exchange/Email Single Sign On (SSO) accounts and technology purchasing.
The division oversees the Medical Education Media Center (MEMC), and large and small testing labs.

Computer Services
We provide general computer and software support for the School of Medicine.
When contacting Evaluation and Computer Resources for service by phone or email, please provide the following information:
- Name
- Office number/address
- Type of equipment requiring service
- Description of problem
- Status of situation – i.e. is the problem an:
- Emergency — compromising your ability to do your job and need assistance as soon as possible.
- Urgent — need assistance as soon as possible, but can still function to some degree.
- Routine — can work with the situation until assistance is available.

- Audio/video streaming of pre-recorded/on-demand content or live events (IPTV)
- Purchasing/recommendations and fulfillment of various electronic equipment (i.e. computer-related, audio/video, mobile devices, printing/fax, etc.)

Note: All University computer-related equipment/hardware purchases must be authorized and, in most cases, purchased by Christopher Boyce due to: general approval, adherence to University standards and security, including support matrix guidelines and possible alternative recommendations/solutions, and (best) price matching.
Site licensed software is available for: Microsoft Office suites, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, SPSS/AMOS, SAS, EndNote and Maple. Please inquire for availability of Windows or Macintosh versions before unnecessarily utilizing research or operating funds for procurement.
