Curriculum
The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research curriculum includes 15 credit hours of required coursework. The program consists of five core courses from the Master of Science in Bioinformatics Clinical Research emphasis curriculum.
Clinical Research
Focuses on the generation and comprehension of data derived from real-word patient care, various study designs and statistical techniques that convert data into knowledge for enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.

Clinical Research Skills
MEDB 5510: Clinical Research Methodology | 3 credit hours
MEDB 5511: Principles and Applications of Epidemiology | 3 credit hours
MEDB 5512: Clinical Trials | 3 credit hours

Since the graduate certificate includes core courses required to complete the 36-hour Master of Science in Bioinformatics (MSB) degree program, students who complete the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research can use these 15 credit-hours towards the completion of the MSB degree program. Students must apply and be admitted to that program according to the admissions policies and procedures.
