Coordinating Committee

Charge

  • The Coordinating Committee is the executive committee which provides leadership and strategic guidance to the Dean and senior leadership of the medical school.а In carrying out this responsibility the Coordinating Committee will:
  • Review and make recommendations on matters of policy, planning and resource allocation.
  • Review proposals, decisions and recommendations from other councils, committees, departments, and individuals within the Medical School and make recommendations to the Dean, as appropriate.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among the various councils, medical school offices and clinical affiliates.

Standing Subcommittee

The Student Appeals Subcommittee provides students with a formal opportunity to appeal decisions rendered by the Council on Curriculum or the Council on Evaluation in response to a submitted petition. The Subcommittee shall be composed exclusively of individuals who currently hold voting membership on the Coordinating Committee. No member of the Subcommittee shall have previously participated in any review or deliberation pertaining to a student appeal brought before the Subcommittee for consideration.
