Kansas City, Mo.

Kansas City is the largest city in the state of Missouri, encompassing over 318 square miles. It is often referred to as the City of Fountains, boasting more than 200 fountains, second only to Rome, Italy. Kansas City also has more boulevards than any other city except Paris, France. As such, Kansas City is referred to as Paris of the Plains.

About 500,000 people live in Kansas City, Mo., but close to 2 million in reside in the Kansas City metro area, which includes parts of Kansas and Missouri. With more than 240 neighborhoods in Kansas City, there's no shortage of parks, art, music and food.

Lee's Summit, Mo.

Our residency program is located at University Health Lakewood Medical Center (UHLMC) in Lee's Summit, Mo., which is a vibrant suburb and part of the KC metro area.

Lee's Summit is home to the Blue Springs and Lee’s Summit school districts, which consistently rank as top school districts in the state.

Within five miles of the hospital, are four large public boating lakes (Blue Springs, Jacomo,  Longview and Prairie Lee) and within eight miles of UHLMC are four private lake communities (Lotawana, Raintree, Tapawingo and Winnebago).

Lee’s Summit also features hometown attractions, including a farmers market, boutique shopping and town celebrations. Kansas City provides bigger venues of interest such as concerts, museums, Truman Library and sporting events featuring the Kansas City Royals and the recent Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
