Charge

• Determine admission criteria for the Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant (MMSPA) program. Ensure compliance with admissions policies and procedures. Conduct regular review of the policies and procedures, recruitment and marketing strategies, and student learning outcome measures to potentially shed light on the need or lack thereof to alter admissions policies and procedures, recruitment and marketing strategies.
• Screen, select and admit qualified applicants to the MMSPA program. Screening, selection and admission is based on a review of academic performance, essay submission, involvement in co-curricular activities, leadership activities and health experiences, and references.
• Interview selected candidates who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership ability, civic responsibility, and a passion for the PA profession. Identify and select, from among the interviewed candidates, those applicants who demonstrate the ability to fulfill the purpose of the MMSPA program education.
