Kansas City Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center
Since opening in 1952, the Kansas City VA Medical Center has strived to honor America's veterans by delivering exceptional healthcare that enhances their well-being.
Situated on a 40-acre campus in Kansas City, Mo., the facility provides comprehensive healthcare services, including primary and specialty care, mental health services, women's health, prosthetics, ophthalmology, spinal cord injury treatment, smoking cessation programs and much more.
It also acts as a teaching hospital, maintaining primary affiliations with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and University of Kansas School of Medicine, supporting residency programs across major medical and surgical specialties. Additionally, it collaborates with over 40 academic institutions that provide training in allied health fields such as psychology, rehabilitation, audiology, speech pathology, chaplaincy and social work.
