Clinical Practice of Medicine Open Hours

Standardized patient open hours allow students to practice their skills and interactions in a simulation setting so they can increase their familiarity and comfort with high stakes standardized patient exams and OSCEs during the Clinical Practice of Medicine courses.

Why come to open hours:

  • Students benefit from one-on-one interactions with an SP (trained on specific open hours cases). Though we try our best to synchronize open hours with the course, cases may or may not align with curriculum materials covered.
  • This opportunity is not intended to replace lecture or workshop learning, but to build student confidence and bolster performance in high stakes OSCEs. SPs will give verbal feedback to the students.

Registering for Open Hours

Open hours run in concurrent sessions, so if you don't see an opening in one of the sessions at the time you're looking for, be sure to check the other two session options for availability.
