Pathology Interest Group

Overview

The Pathology Interest Group was established in 2018 by Soheila Hamidpour, M.D. and Alex Luke, M.D.

“The purpose of the Pathology Interest Group (PIG) shall be to cultivate an appreciation of and interest in the study of pathology and to provide guidance to those wishing to pursue it as a career. Our goal is to increase awareness of the many disciplines of anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and research by providing interaction between University of Missouri-Kansas City students and practicing pathologists and pathology residents. In addition, PIG seeks to provide hands-on learning experiences typical of the specialty. Furthermore, PIG seeks to foster involvement in pathology related community service activities and research.”
