Our established urogynecology clinics at Lakewood and Hospital Hill serve as vital hubs for research and clinical excellence. These facilities offer resources and a diverse patient population, enabling us to conduct impactful studies that address pressing issues in women's health.
Access to Statistical Support
To support our research endeavors, we provide access to experts in statistical support. Their expertise is invaluable in ensuring the integrity and success of our projects. We also have a large number of students and residents to partner with in various aspects of research, including data collection, analysis, and literature reviews.
Surgical Innovation Lab
Our Surgical Innovation Lab is a cutting-edge facility that plays a crucial role in our research initiatives. Our mission is to investigate what threatens patient safety in the operating room. We approach this complex problem through multiple methodologies, including bioengineering, and interprofessional and observational approaches.
Utilization of a Deidentified Patient Database from Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
We leverage a comprehensive de-identified patient database sourced from Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for our research purposes. This extensive dataset allows researchers to analyze trends, outcomes, and patient demographics while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. It offers a wealth of information critical for evidence-based research.
Partnership with Cerner for EMR Implementation
Our collaboration with Cerner includes the implementation of EMR systems across 800+ hospitals. This partnership not only enhances our research capabilities but also facilitates seamless data integration and management. Additionally, we provide expert support for statistical analysis and grant writing, assisting researchers in navigating the complexities of funding opportunities.
