Statement on Signaling and Interview Methods

UMKC Family Medicine Residency will be accepting signals during the application process. The program agrees with the AAMC that applicants signal their most interested programs regardless of whether they are home or away rotations. Candidates who signal UMKC Family Medicine Residency will have their applications reviewed first but will be held to the same standard holistic evaluation as all others. The holistic review includes involvement in Family Medicine groups (professional memberships), work experience, research, volunteer work, board scores, MSPE review, transcript review, awards, letters of recommendation, and personal statements.

All interviews will be conducted virtually this interview season with the option of one of several non-evaluative open house dates in February to see the facility.
