Program Overview

Our program provides a three-year curriculum to develop comprehensive clinical competence in the diagnosis and management of dermatologic disease. Residents rotate at University Health Truman Medical Center (UHTMC) and University Health Lakewood Medical Center (UHLMC), where they are exposed to a diverse patient population and see an equally diverse range of skin conditions. Our clinical curriculum provides in-depth exposure and instruction in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, consultative inpatient dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and several additional subspecialty areas. Clinical teaching is paired with our didactic lecture series that includes grand rounds, textbook review, journal club, Kodachrome sessions and morbidity/mortality conferences.
